Seeking 'Gary' Gastropod in Burnie
Join Peter Manchester, one of Adult Education's most popular tutors at the Burnie Library this Wednesday 8th February at 1200 for a FREE talk on fossils.
The talk is a prelude to Peter's new Adult Education course Seeking 'Gary' Gastropod - all about how to search for fossils in the laboratory and landscape of Burnie & surrounds. Peter is a well known lecturer/consultant in geology and a former Head of Photography and Multimedia at colleges and the university in Launceston.
Peter is running several other courses this Autumn including Sailing the Geological Soup - a trip around Macquarie Harbour and surrounding coastal areas, The Abt Geological Express and Woolnorth - Geologically 2nd to none!
The talk will run for about an hour and everyone is welcome.

Join us on Valentine's Day for a FREE orientation and enrolment day for our Professional Writing & Editing Program.

This series of courses offers training in writing, editing, presentation and marketing of a wide range of text.
Students may study one or more modules that are part of the Certificate IV in Professional Writing & Editing - a nationally recognised qualification throughout the publishing and writing industry. Accreditation is under the auspices of the Institute of TAFE Tasmania.

Adult Education's inspiring Not Yet Famous Art Exhibition will be held in both the North West and South in 2006.
North West 1st - 8th September Adult Learners Week
South 22nd September - 1st October
Students of painting, drawing, jewellery, sculpture, photography, pottery and mosaics in 2004, 2005 & 2006 are invited to enter work.
