Refund Policy
No refunds AFTER a class has started
If you withdraw more than 14 days before the start of the class, an automatic refund less a $20 admin fee will apply.
If you withdraw 14 days or less before the start of a class, an automatic refund, less a $20 admin fee and any class levies will apply.
Transfers available in lieu of a refund in some circumstances – check with your local centre.

Liability
Students should make themselves aware of potential risks involved in a course before enrolling. Students of Adult Education are responsible for the costs of all their own medical or other expenses in the case of an incident occurring before, during or after and Adult Education course. Adult Education holds no cover for "no fault" accident insurance for injury to students or damage to property of students participating in Adult Education courses.

People with disabilities
Adult Education is aware that some students with a disability may need assistance to participate fully. Please contact the organising office of the particular class/es you're interested in so that we can try to assist. Please contact us for your local centre details.
Classes with wheelchair access are shown with a wheelchair symbol. The organising office can best advise you of parking and access for specific class venues.

Concessions (Conc.)
Concessions are offered to Pensioners, Health Care Card holders and fulltime students. Concessions do not apply to all courses and the concession status of each course is specified in the guide.
Please note that concessions apply only to the tutorial component of the fee and not to any related materials for that class.

Seniors Card (SC)
A 10% discount is now available to holders of a Tasmanian Seniors Card. This rebate is only available to those not entitled to any other concession and only applies to those classes that attract a concession rate.

Public Holidays
Classes are not held on public holidays.

Course fees
This fee covers tutors fees, a levy for materials and equipment and facility usage – you may be asked to bring other materials to your classes at your expense. Course fees include GST where required under Taxation guidelines. Please confirm a class is viable before purchasing equipment.

Minimum age
Adult Education provides a range of learning opportunities for adult Tasmanians over the age of 16 years. Younger people may be accepted in certain circumstances. Contact your local centre for further details.

Parent & Child/Teen
Activities to do with your child that are fun, creative and educational. One child is admitted free with each parent/carer. A parent/carer must accompany the child/teen to all sessions.
